Detailed Loads: Empathizing cribbing, braces, tie-down techniques used by railroads. Include some form of documentation, i.e.…. photos from the internet, train groups, government (FRA), or military manuals.

Maintenance-of-Way (MOW): Entry should be a piece of unique equipment utilized by the railroad. These would be typically created and built/or modified in their shops to serve a specific function on the railroad. Include a short narrative paragraph explaining the equipment’s purpose (or photo of a prototype)

Gondola Loads: Entry should be a unique load in a railroad gondola. The range can be a typical load or something really unique.
November 16
Detailed Diorama: Once again, a diorama contest! This year the diorama has to depict an on-line structure. The diorama can be any dimension. The building(s) should be from a kit (or parts of a kit or kits) that you have “kit-bashed”. Entries will be judged for uniqueness, detail and finish. (1s – $50. 2nd – $35 & 3rd – $25 cash awards and certificates)
